SITUATION
Specialty Sauces Capacity Constraint in Batch Process

PROBLEM
High Cycle time @2 hour per 500kg batch size

SOLUTION
Identified that starch heating & cooling step was taking 1.5 hours for 250kg quantity. Alternate process was developed wherein 1ton Starch was ready in 1hour using existing equipment available at client site thereby ensuring ready starch solution always available for batch process.

BENEFITS
Cycle time reduced from 2hours to 45 minutes thereby capacity increased by 160% on available equipment.
