Independent Grocery Store
Situation
A successful independent grocery store owner in Chicago contacted us to conduct a feasibility study for a new 10,000 square foot store on the near-north side of Chicago.
Problem
The bank required the entrepreneur to have a feasibility study completed by an unbiased third-party provider.
Solution
We visited the proposed site and walked the neighborhood, researched competitors, analyzed local demographics, reviewed historical financials from other stores, and interviewed the owner. We concluded the grocery store was feasible.
Benefit
The store opened within a year of our study, and several years later is operating successfully.
