Entrepreneur – Inspiration to Launch

SITUATION
During a long drive, an entrepreneur with big dreams and no previous experience food industry experience was inspired to create an all-natural snack providing clarity, focus and energy, for people who don’t like coffee or energy shots.

PROBLEM
The entrepreneur had a clear vision for the benefits his product should deliver, and very unique ideas for product design and packaging.  With limited resources and budget he needed to find a way to cost effectively translate his vision into a commercially viable product which consumer would love to eat often.

SOLUTION
For our entrepreneur with limited resource we utilized a step wise development approach which started with bringing his inspiration to life using early stage prototypes designed with a clear path towards scale-up. This helped the entrepreneur secure funding for additional development. Next, we explored and developed a range of product and packaging design options and tested them with consumers. Then with a winning product design identified, we paired the entrepreneur with a co-packer, and supported plant trials to lock in a final formula and packaging specification.
