Brand Launch for New Culinary Incubator

SITUATION
A 100+ year old institution – a restaurant and hotel supply company – recognized a need for a culinary incubator in a city with a thriving food scene and very little shared kitchen space to rent. They purchased an historic building in a strategic location and meticulously rehabbed it, transforming the long neglected 10,000sqft + building into a state-of-the-art culinary incubator with multiple shared use kitchen spaces, cold storage, a dock for shipping and receiving, and co-working spaces/conference rooms to support the local food community.

PROBLEM
While there were obvious cross-promotional opportunities for a company that sells restaurant equipment and supplies, the company wanted this new enterprise to be a completely new brand, separate from the parent organization. This required a new brand name, identity, and an engaging website integrated with customer signup, document storage, space booking, and community interactivity.

SOLUTION
We developed the brand name, identity, and story, first launching a temporary site while construction was underway. We were careful to determine the right platform to manage the concept. We found a tremendous solution for space booking and customer management that was designed specifically for shared use kitchens. Collaborating with the client and the experts with the shared kitchen management platform, we helped the client set up their operations and integrated the solutions into the web presence. We developed all of the content for the full website and launched with a robust resource for the local food community.

BENEFITS
The company is quickly becoming the premier resource for food makers – CPG companies, caterers, restaurants, food trucks, etc. – in their community and demand is high for kitchen space. Their engaging brand identity makes them quickly recognizable and their convenient web presence has proven user-friendly for both members and site managers alike.
