Beverage Rebranding

SITUATION
A publicly traded company based in Dallas, TX, had an innovative line of clean label energy drinks infused with hempseed extract, guarana, ginseng, beet sugar, and other simple ingredients. Their healthier, more natural take on a flavorful energizing beverage came at a time when large energy drink brands were grappling with massive lawsuits and negative PR, giving this company a prime opportunity to win market share, and to expand the reach of the brand. But they had to act fast.

PROBLEM
When we met company leadership, they were in the midst of a brand name change and had just endured an unsuccessful product launch by another agency. We were called on to redo the branding and packaging design for the line of 5 unique beverage varieties. Due to the initial failed launch, we had to produce everything on an unfathomably aggressive timeline of about a week to meet printer deadlines and fulfill retail orders.

SOLUTION
While a significant rebranding and packaging development process is not something we would ever recommend condensing into such a tight timeframe, the opportunity required it, and we rose to the occasion, delivering a fresh, new brand with a dynamic new packaging design in time to meet deadlines and fulfill orders.

 BENEFITS
The new retail brand was deemed a success, with millions of cans of the beverages sold. After the rush of the initial project, we developed a multi-year Agency-of-Record relationship with the company and provided a vast array of marketing services from brand strategy to packaging design to web development to POS materials to marketing campaigns and a variety of other services. When we began working with the company, their stock price was about 3 cents per share. When we parted ways, it had climbed to more than 15 cents per share.
