She has an intimate understanding of entrepreneurial as well as corporate businesses.
She began her career with her own catering/special events business, added kitchen design and then food styling to her arsenal. Additionally, Ms. Shefter has eighteen years of marketing and general management experience in food including two years employment at Paramount Studios as Executive Director of Food and Beverage and nine years with Business Enterprises at UCLA as Manager of Special Events/Catering. In both positions she improved profitability, streamlined operations, and developed and introduced new products that turned cost centers into profit centers. Ms. Shefter efficiently and effectively conducts consulting assignments, expedites the solution process, and enhances service delivery by utilizing her extensive specialty resources within the industry. She was a featured speaker at "Off Prem" National Seminars on menu development and marketing and has authored several professional articles.
Ms. Shefter holds an MBA from University of Southern California, a BS from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), and is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art. She has three national awards for menu design and promotional materials and currently serves on both the national and local alumni boards of Case Western Reserve University.
