Situation

A Mexican trade school director's secretary avoided communicating with one of the instructors. She also bad-mouthed the instructor to other employees and sabotaged her work product.

Problem

The instructor's job was in jeopardy because the secretary refused to process the instructor's reports, did not pass on the instructor's phone messages to the director and neglected to obtain supplies and information needed by the instructor in the performance of her duties.

Solution

Solutions interviewed the director and the instructor one on one, then conducted a communications workshop with all the female personnel on site, allowing them to discuss their differences and practice new communication skills.

Benefits

Since the workshop, the secretary has ceased her sabotage and communicated and cooperated appropriately with the instructor, allowing the instructor to fulfill her duties.
