Executive Recruiting

Situation

Asked to find CFO candidate for 1,600+ unit QSR chain after the initial retained search firm had presented 14 candidates unsuccessfully.

Problem

The former long-time CFO had been named President and didn't like anyone he had seen to date. It was very difficult for him to be objective as he replaced himself.

Solution

Found a Financial person who was one of the 3 initial founders of this chain's major competition. The candidate had taken a year's sabbatical and was not easily accessible.

Benefits

The candidate was hired even thought the client company had to pay both my firm and pay off the prior retained firm. Although the combined fee cost to the client was in excess of $90,000.00, the newly placed CFO helped to bring this chain from a cash deficit of over $17 million to "in the black" within 1 year.
